22 Grand Job

Monday 5th June 2006. It was to be Sydneys coldest maximum temperature on record for 11years. 12 degrees Celsius, relentless pouring rain (that wouldn't ease up for over 48hours) and gusting winds that would welcome me in to my first proper job in 7 months. Better than a sunny day while being stuck in work I guess.

So, now I'm working full time (at least until the end of July anyway) as I recharge my bank account before moving up the Australian East Coast. I'm in a similar IT support role to those that I've been doing in the past, except this time with a Financial Advisory company based in Circular Quay, Sydney (indicated by a little red arrow on the photo above). Just a short walk from the Opera House (a desk view too!), Harbour bridge and the swankiest eateries & drinkeries that the city has to offer.

G'day

So mate you didn't like the rough treatment dished out by the Kiwis versionof the SPG. Well i'm thinking you were lucky you didn't get the old 'bendover spread your cheeks apart routine' . I always got strange looks whenperforming this task. Couldn't grasp the concept of bending over and usingthumb and finger to look like a drowning goldfish, I mean why did we need tolook into the mouth while bending over ? Just as well the one shaved leg andtrouser Police weren't in town, you could have been in right trub, justexplain that one away in a Wellington prison, say Joey have you ever been ina New Zealand jail? Midnight Express! that'll do nicely sir! Amsterdam Update: Just to let you know we had a great time in A'dam for Gary's stag night, I was completely newscasted by the time we came home.Ammade sure we didn't stray from the red light district, a real bu**er if yourlooking for a green one.We visited various live shows and the w**kroundabout, as I called it.But mostly drink and more drink not necessarily in that order.

See you later Alligator
